The Oella calendar is produced every year by Marco Kathuria at MKCREATIVE | media as part of our commitment to promoting the Oella community.
The calendar is printed in the autumn and offered to residents and visitors to the Oella Corner Country Store in return for a donation. Donations are used to support the Oella Greater Community Association’s (GOCA) efforts in the community. Advertisers receive multiple copies of the calendar (actual number depends on annual advertising spend) so that they may distribute to valued clients, neighbors, friends, and family.
The calendar is used as a fund-raising device by GOCA to support local community activities such as the Easter egg hunt; a party for children over the Christmas period; a community cookout where local residents and local law enforcement officers and EMS crews come together to celebrate National Community Cookout Day; the design and construction of the Oella July 4th parade float; and many more other activities. The calendar also serves to promote local businesses so residents have a single reference source when looking for services.
If you would like to find out more about Oella or to donate to GOCA and support our community, please visit the Oella Country Store and speak to the current GOCA president, Jay Patel. While you’re there, be sure to lunch on his famous “Jay Burgers”!
